Like today's bankers before 15.09.08; some western physicists claim that "a theory of everything" is very simple. There is some P-simplicity and the Higgs boson is the last missing piece of the Grand Unified Physics (Standard Model ). However, if even Higgs boson exists, Grand Picture is not completed, because it does not include gravity,it does not explain weekness of gravity,or it also does not explain why the quarks and leptons come in 3 generations, etc, etc. (including so-called the hierarchy problem ). Bankers had Monday's collapse, and I suppose that something similar the LHC will open indeed.
